I recommend using the 32mm 98-06 GSX600F or 36mm 98-06 GSX750F Katana carbs for best flow and fit to the runners. I am getting 24 MPG with the 36mm ones I have on consistently and that is screaming around everywhere with 31's! I got 33 MPG with the 32mm set and taking it easy around town and country roads not exceeding 50 mph. I got 17 to 18 with my stock carbs. Your mileage may vary. These can be had on EBay from $25 to $100 a set. They better be in excellent shape if you pay $100 for them. Generally speaking they are about $50 to $75.  These Katana carbs will fit the intake spacing being there is only about 1/8" difference between the two models in the middle. The runners can be adjusted to fit most other models as well. There is an up charge for this. There are many different carbs that can be used for this setup. Look for round flanges where the filters go onto and a throttle location that is in the middle of the carbs. Ask to have a tape measure laid across both sides of the carbs and a picture sent. I make no guarantee on the fit of the carbs you get to the standard intake unless you use the ones recommended above.  Give me your picture and I we can talk about it.
 

GSX Intake and Cooling Manifolds

Includes intake and cooling manifold with hoses to connect the two. Runner ID is 1.0", OD is 1.5" unless other porting options are expressed. The stock gasket is 1.183" ID. The head is 1.120" but not centered to the ports on the gasket so some minor head porting is recommended if you want a 1.120" runner ID. Porting of the head is recommended especially if runners are port matched to the gasket. Carb end of the runners is opened up to fit 36mm carbs  Made to fit 98-06 GSX600-750F Katana carbs unless otherwise specified. Brass brake fitting shown is not included.

I will bore the runner ID to 1.120".

Some port matching of the head may be required in most all cases that I have seen to insure proper flow. This can be done on car with special care.

Port matched intakes to the gasket. I will bore the runner ID to 1.160" and match the end to the factory gasket. Larger porting options are available upon request. Metal gasket from me that is punch marked to the intake is included.

4 X .7 X 10mm SS Socket Head Cap Screws for float bowls. 16 qty.
Replaces those wimpy Phillips Head screws. I recommend these if you are going to be messing with these carbs allot. Once those stock screw heads strip out they are a major PIA to deal with. They are Lock Tited in and may strip out from the first time you try to remove the bowl. Took me almost 3 hours to do a jet and needle and seat swap being I had to drill and easy out 2 of these. They were in bad shape to start with and the impact couldn't break them loose. If I only had a left hand drill bit they may have come out much easier.
